Dr. Fox is Professor of Philosophy at Ohio State University where
he is also chairman of the Ohio State University Committee on
Jewish Study. He is also an Editor of Judaism Magazine, the Journal
of History of Philosophy, and is a contributor to the new Encyclo-
pedia Judaica.
The topic of the lecture will be the life and thought of Franz
Rosenzweig, the great Jewish philosopher of the 20th Century, who
moved from the verge of converting to Christianity to a deep
commitment to Jewish life. It has been said that Rosenzweig has
influenced the thinking of Conservative Judaism more than any other
writer.
