MISS SHARYN NATCHEZ

Angered at the way Israeli
athletes were treated at the
University Games in Moscow
last summer, Flint sports-
woman Mrs. Peter Kronick
advised the 'U.S. Olympic
Committee that she would
not give financial support if
the 1980 Olympics are held in
Russia.
In reply, the Olympics di-
rector of fund raising, Rob-
ert H. Engle Jr., assured
Mrs. Kronick that the U.S.
committee shares her views
on the hosting of the games.
He added that Los Angeles
will seek the award of the
1980 games and, if this de-
velops into a formal invita-
tion, the U.S. Olympic Com-
mittee will lend its full sup-
port to that city's efforts.
All requests are to be re-
viewed and the host city
named by the International
Olympic Committee in May,
Engle said.
Mrs. Kronick urged that
others who feel as she does
to voice their feelings "in
an appropriate way."
