`Operation Hospital' to Send Greetings

Thanksgiving Day greet-
ings and messages will be
sent and received via ama-
tuer radio throughout the
United States and Canada 9
p.m. Tuesday from the Vet-
erans Hospital in Allen Park.
This public service makes
it possible for hospitalized
patients to send to and re-
ceive greetings from their
loved ones and friends. It is
sponsored jointly by the
Metropolitan Detroit Bnai
Brith Counci 1, Michigan
Amatuer Radio Club, U. S.

Air Force Military Affiliate
Radio Service (MARS) and
volunteer radio "hams" in
the metropolitan Detroit area,
The program, "Operation
Hospital," was started 11
years ago. Sherman Gold-
man, who is in charge of the
program, is chairman of
community and veterans
services for the Bnai Brith
Council an da member of
the Radio Club and USAF-
MARS.

Inbal Dancer
to Lead Center
Family Weekend

Margalit Oved, formerly
lead dancer with Inbal Com-
pany of Israel, will serve as
artist-in-residence at the Jew-
ish Center next week. She
will teach a series of work-
s h o p s in Yemenite-Israeli
dance 8 p.m. Monday, Tues-
day and Wednesday.
The dancer also will serve
as guest artist at the Jewish
Center's sixth annual Family
Dance Weekend at Camp
Tamarack, Ortonville,
Thanksgiving Weekend. She
will be joined by instructor-
dancers Gingi Ben-Zeev, Har-
riet Berg, Erica Herman and
Denise Szykula. Classes are
available for beginning to ad-
vanced dancers. Hikes,
games, evening campfires
and a special talent show
also will be featured.
