Adat Shalom is sponsoring a
concert of solidarity with
Soviet Jews, featuring Cantor
Mikhail Alexandrovich, a re-
cent emigre from Russia to
Israel, as soloist.
To mark this weekend, lo-
cal artist Norm Stewart has
developed a serigraph, "Sol-
idarity," conisting of concen-
tric circles of color super-
imposed on a matrix of inter-
locking Stars of David. It de-
picts symbolically the soli-
darity of Jewish communities
all over the world.
The posters publicizing the
concert feature the drawing,
and Stuart has executed 100
signed and numbered seri-
graphs which will be avail-
able the evening of the con-
cert.

"Issues of Common Con-
cern" is to be led by Rabbi
Seymour Rosenbloom and the
Rev. John O'Malley, associ-
ate professor of history and
president and chairman of
the board of the Jesuit Com-
munity Corporation at t h e
University of Detroit, who
will draw on their respective
traditions to discuss four sig-
nificant life-issues of modern
man: "Medical Ethics,"
"Changing Life Values,"
"God-Talk and Related Ques-
tions" and "Modernization in
Religion."
