Former Gestapo Chief Barbie Is Released

bie, the Gestapo "Butcher of
Lyons" has been released
from jail in La Paz after the
Bolivian Supreme Court
ruled against extradition re-
quests by the French and
Peruvian governments.


Barbie is wanted in France
to face trial for war crimes
including the murder of a
