The Sisterhood will host a
series of 12 lectures on "Jew-
ish Theology in a Contem-
porary Setting" beginning 1
p.m. Tuesday at the syna-
gogue. Refreshments will be
served at 12:30. Rabbi Rosen_
bloom, who will speak on
"What Does Religion Add to
Life?", will give 10 of the
lectures on alternate weeks.
Rabbi Jacob Segal will give
two talks in the spring. Baby
sitters are available. The
public is invited at no charge.

Hollywood columnist Shir-
ley Eder will open the 1973-
74 town hall series of
Shaarey Zedek Sisterhood 10
a.m. Wednesday at the syna-
gogue. A Detroiter, the wife
of Edward Eder, she began
her career just out of high
school as host of a woman's
radio show in New York.
Based on her experiences,
she wrote the book "Not This
Time, Cary Grant!" For
series tickets, which also
will cover lectures by Rabbi
Irwin Groner and Dr. Peter
