Detroiters attending the biennial national convention of
Women's American ORT Sunday through Thursday in Wash-
ington D.C. are Mesdames Bertram Adler, region president;

Traub, Moe Hoffman, Gerald Ross, Steven Landau, Lew
Nucian, David Schwartz, Hyman Jackson, Carl Seasword,
Richard Weiner, Albert Blaize, Eugene Sokoloff, David
Redisch, Barry Bell, David Brasch, Joel Mahler, Gerald
Chernow, Sam Schwartz and Norman Ratner, delegates.
Also attending are national and district board members,
Mesdames Jack Rubin, Max Beal, Henry Pariser, Eugene
Levine, Leonard Schreiber, Fred Walters, Charles Weiner,
Daniel Allen, Saul Chudnow, William Wetsman, Alfred Mey-
ers and Donald Thal.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Abels of Stratford Ave., Oak Park,
will be honored by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Bernir Lud-
wig and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Ashin, at a champagne brunch
on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. The
Abels have seven grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Leonard of Oak Park Blvd., Oak
Park, recently were honored by relatives and friends at
their home with a surprise party on the occasion of their
25th anniversary.
