David Silver was elected
to head the Histadrut Cam-
paign's project division at
the annual conference.
Silver and his wife Esther
have their name on a Kupat
Holim clinic in Ashdod, part
of the network of Kaput
Holim hospitals and clinics
serving Histadrut's 1,200,000
membership.
The newly formed division
will attempt to interest both
members and nonmembers
of the Labor Zionist move-
ment in helping Histadrut
meet the demand for new
and expanded health and
cultural facilities. Detroiters
whose names are inscribed
on Histadrut's institutions in-
clude Norman Cottler, Jew-
ish Women's European Wal-
fare Organization, the Mon-
dry family, Isaac Litwak,
Pinsker Progressive Aid So-
ciety, Nathan P. Rossen,
Mrs. Emma Schaver and
Harry Schumer.
A committee is being
formed to plan a visit here
by Bernard Jacobson, na-
tional executive director of
the Histadrut Campaign, who
will meet with those who
seek information on the cost
and type of projects which
Histadrut is making avail-
able for sponsorship. For in-
formation, call the Histadrut
office, 851-0606.

Soviet Jewry
Parley Off

workshop, slated for 9 a.m.
Sunday at the United Hebrew
Schools by the Jewish Com-
munity Council and the tie-

building is being used by the

Level with us, Toimi A. Silvo. Did you really go
without sleep for 32 days and 12 hours, like it says in
the Guinness Book of World Records?
If you really did, our hats are off to you . . . because
we think that a man who can stay wide awake is something
really special. In fact, men who are wide awake to
today's inflationary economy are our best customers.
You see, Toimi, we've found a way to get around
high clothing prices without asking our customers to
sacrifice quality. We call it "the new way to
buy men's clothing" and it amounts to nothing more than
trimming away all non-essential services to keep

cost down.
Specifically, we make no alterations, make no deliveries,
have no expensive displays, extend no credit, and
accept no credit cards. However, the clothing we sell is the
very latest, the famous clothing brands we carry (some
with labels removed) are the very best, and our stock
includes a full range of regular and hard-to-fit sizes.
So ... if you ever leave Finland and visit the Detroit
area, Toimi . since you're such a hero of ours . . .
we'll be glad to give you a free suit. As for the rest of you
wide-awake men who have been reading over our
shoulder, you'll have to be satisfied to ---
