services were held here Oct.
3 for Joseph Dinitz, father
of Israel's Ambassador to
the U. S. Simcha Dinitz, who
died at age 83.
Mr. Dinitz was a prom-
inent merchant in Tel Aviv
and leader of its merchants
association.
The ambassador arrived

here earlier to attend the
funeral services and recite
kadish.
Joseph Dinitz was born in
Russia and came to Pales-
tine in 1925. He served as an
adviser to the Minister of
Trade and Industry, Dr. Dov
Joseph, in the early fifties
on matters involving mer-
chants.
