Barbara Merrill Lansky
became the bride of Harold
Beznos in a recent ceremony
at Temple Emanu-El. Rabbis
Milton Rosenbaum and Jacob
Segal and Cantor Norman
Rose officiated.
The bride is the daughter
of Dr. and Mrs. Mandell Lan-
sky of Wareham Dr., Hunt-
ington Woods. Parents of the
bridegroom are the late Mr.
and Mrs. Samuel Beznos.
The bride wore a high-
necked silk gown with a man-
tilla of re-embroidered Alen-
con lace.
Attending the bride were
Mrs. Donald M. Lansky and
Mrs. Maurice Beznos.
Best man was Norman Bez-
nos, brother of the bride-
groom. Ushers were Donald
Lansky, brother of the bride,
Peter Berntsen of Colorado
Springs and Maurice Beznos,
brother of the bridegroom.
Following a European hon-
eymoon, the couple will live
in Southfield.

"Project Return" workshop
group for women who are
considering entering or re-
turning to the world of work.
The workshop will explore
occupational and educational
opportunities for women in
today's job market.
Sessions will consist of
small group meetings to assist
women in gathering informa-

first week of November and
will be held in Southfield.

Three new study groups
will be offered to members
and nonmembers of the
Greater Detroit Section, Na-
tional Council of Jewish
Women at the NCJW office.
The Literature Study Series
begins 12:30 p.m. Monday.
The five lectures will con-
centrate on The Modern
American Short Story. In-
formal discussions will be
led by Dr. Lawrence Berkove
of the University of Michi-
gan, Dearborn Campus. The
group will meet again on
Oct. 29, Nov. 5, 26 and Dec.
10.
The Finance Series begins
12:30 p.m. Tuesday and will
continue weekly through
Nov. 13. The lectures will be
conducted by Dr. Cedric V.
Fricke of the University of
Michigan, Dearborn Campus.

There is a fee for this series.
The Public Affairs Series
begins 12:30 p.m. Oct. 25 and
will continue for eight ses-
sions on alternate Thurs-
days. It is co-sponsored by
the Greater Detroit Section
and by Brandeis University
National Women's Commit-
tee, Detroit Chapter. Dr.
Sheldon Appleton of Oakland
University will lecture on
American foreign policy
based on his text, "United
States Foreign Policy."

A really special dessert
that is delicious and pareve
can be just the thing to top
off a fine meal for your
guests.

cups graham cracker crumbs
2 tblsp. granulated sugar
1/2 stick melted margarine
3 egg yolks
1 /2 cup confectioners sugar
2 pkgs. unsweetened melted
chocolate (or 2 squares of
baking chocolate)
3 egg whites
1 quart pareve vanilla ice cream
(see below)

TOPPING

Mix 11'3 cups graham cracker
crumbs and 2 tblsps. granulated
sugar with melted margarine.
Line a 10-inch pie pan with this
mixture and bake at 350 degrees
for about 10 minutes. Allow to
cool.
Beat egg yolks with confec-
tioners sugar and melted choco-
late. Separately beat the egg
whites until stiff and fold them
into the chocolate mixture.
Spread about one-half of this into
the pie shell. Then put ice cream
mixture into shell and cover
with remaining chocolate mix-
ture. Sprinkle the two tblsps. of
graham cracker crumbs on top
and sprinkle with the colored
sugar sprinkles. Wrap in heavy
duty foil and freeze.

1 8 oz. container pareve whipping
cream
2 egg yolks
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 1/4 tsps. vanilla
4 egg whites
Whip the cream. Add yolks,
corn syrup and vanilla. Beat
whites until stiff. Fold whites in-
to cream mixture.
