Sports for Israel Hopes to Stop
Political Harassment of Athletes

NEW YORK—Nat Holman,
president of the United States
Committee Sports for Israel,
Inc., has announced that his
organization will play a lead-
ing role in the newly formed
sports committee of the Na-
tional Conference on Soviet
Jewry.
"This decision" said Hol-
man, "is in direct response
to the recent events at the
World University Games in
Moscow. The intrusion of po-
litical issues upon interna-
tional sports competitions
should be prevented; when it
occurs, it must be con-
demned at all times and in

200 Arab MDs Seek
Gaza Practices Again

JERUSALEM — Deputy
Health Minister Abdul Aziz
Zuabi said, at the dedication
of a 100-bed children's hos-
pital in Gaza that the Israeli
government is now consider-
ing requests by about 200 na-
tive physicians to return
from abroad and practice in
the Gaza Strip.
Directed by Dr. Naim Ali
Hassan, the hospital was ren-
ovated as a comprehensive
pediatric facility at a cost of
IL 350,000 ($87,500) by the
military administration.
The area commander, Brig.
Gen. Avraham Orli, said an-
other hospital with 220 beds
will be dedicated in Decem-
ber at Khan Yunis.
