Under the leadership of

planned and choreographed
by Mrs. David Riseman, as-
sisted by Jack Barnes.
For 39 years, Infants Serv-
ice Group has been dedicated
to raising funds for children
of indigent families. T h e
group buys and distributes
infant clothing, bedding, furn-
iture, food and other neces-
sary supplies to mothers of
needy children.
Among its contributions to
charities, Infants Service
Group has purchased and
equipped two kidney ma-
chines for Children's Hospital
and contributed more than
$50,000 to the Detroit Associ-
ation for Retarded Children.
To assist another of its
projects, the Penrickton
Nursery for Visually Handi-
capped Children, the organi-
zation hopes to realize record
proceeds from its annual
fund-raising dinner-dance and
souvenir book.
The organization was
founded in 1934 by six wom-
en, one of whom lost a child.
Seeking to erect a monument,
not in concrete but in good
deeds, they began with serv-
ice to indigent mothers who
could not afford layettes and
proper care for their babies.
The group now has 225 mem-
bers.
The ball is open to the pub-
lic. For reservations, c a 1 1
Mrs. Al Sklar, dinner-dance
chairman, 355-1548, or Mrs.
Fred Silber, reservations
chairman, 547-1874.
