A Jewish National Fund tradition of the pre-High Holi- day season will continue with the issuance of special JNF stamps for synagogue admis- sion tickets. These stamps usually are obtained through synagogue ticket committees. JNF President Charles Mi- lan issued a special appeal to the Jewish community, asking all to buy these stamps. He said each stamp purchased serves as a re- ceipt acknowledging a com- pletely voluntary contribu- tion to "geulat ha'aretz," the JNF land reclamation pro- gram. Thomas A. Horwitz has been named general chair- man, assisted by Herman Dickstein. On Oct. 26, a Sabbath Eve service will be held in honor of the signing of the articles of incorporation. At this an- niversary service, Rabbi David S. Hachen of Cleve- land, director of the North- east Lakes Council, and Rabbi Eric Friedland of Chi- cago, one of Beth Jacob's former rabbis, will be prin- cipal speakers, as well as will Rabbi H. Philip Berko- witz of Beth Jacob. The service will be follow- ed by a reception under the chairmanship of Mrs. Her- man Dickstein. The following evening, a dinner-dance will be held at Kingsley Inn. Rabbi Milton Rosenbaum of Temple Emanu-El and Rabbi San- ford E. Saporstein of Reform Congregation of Morrick, L. I., two former Beth Jacob rabbis, will bring greetings.
