JERUSALEM (JTA) —
More than 500 objects found
during the archeological ex-
cavations near the Temple
Mount during the past five
years went on public display
here near the Jaffa Gate of
the Old City.
The exhibition includes a
large-scale model of the
southern edge of the Temple
Mount and its approaches,
based on the latest archeo-
logical finds. The exhibition
; being presented as part of
the country's 25th anniver-
sary celebrations.

New "generals" will re-
ceive their hats and be salut-
ed by fellow campers of Gan
Israel Sunday in Fenton.
Campers take time off from
baseball, rowing, swimming,
hiking and calisthenics to
spend either mornings or one
or two hours throughout the
day in learning. The rabbis
hold contests in sidur (prayer
book and Humash (Torah),
and the winners get prize
books inscribed with their
name and particular achieve-
ment.
This year, Gan Israel camp-
ers were invited to play
miniature golf and enjoy
horseback riding, by A. How-
ard Bloch. The children will
have an opportunity to thank
contributors at dedication
ceremonies noon-4 p.m. Sun-
day. Lunth will be served at
1 p.m. and the program at 2.
Chairman of the open
house will be Irwin I. Cohn.
Transportation will be pro-
vided at 10:30 a.m. from
camp office at 14000 W. Nine

a VIP Leadership Camp Aug.
27-31 at the Charles and
Florence Milan-BBYO Con-
ference Center in Belle River,
Ont.
This leadership program is
intended to train AZA and
BBG chapter presidents for
the coming year. In addition
to discussion of BBYO and
the role of the president, the
program also will include
sessions on the adviser and
the chapter, boards of di-
rectors and a Judaism pro-
gram relating to the Ameri-
can-Jewish teen-agers in to-
day's society.

Mrs. Sandra Rosen has
been appointed director of
education and youth at Adat
Shalom Synagogue. Mrs.
Rosen, of New York City, is
a graduate of Columbia Uni•
versity and holds a bachelor
of Hebrew literature degree
from the Teachers Institute
of the Jewish Theological
Seminary. She also holds a
master's degree in childhood
education from Teachers Col-
lege at Columbia. Mrs. Rosen
has taught Sunday, Hebrew
and elementary school, and
served on the staff of Camp
Ramah.

MARK GRINBLATT, Jun-
ior Achievement's President
of the Year for Southeastern
Michigan, was one of seven
finalists in the national presi-
dent of the year contest held
at Bloomington, Ind., Aug.
12-17. Mark was selected
from among more than 100
local president of the year
winners from around the
country, attending the Na-
tional Junior Achiever's Con-
ference at Indiana Univer-
sity. His prize was a $100
scholarship. Mark is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Grin-
blatt of Vernon Ave., Oak
Park. He is a senior at Berk-
ley High School.
