Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Gluck, former Detroiters of
Somerset, N. J., were honored at a going-away party July
28 in honor of Mr. Gluck's new position at the Chase
Manhattan Bank in New York. The party was given by
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Kahn and Mr. and Mrs. Michael
Udman. Mr. Gluck was formerly head of the educational
institute of Honeywell Inc., Southfield.
Detroiters attending a three-week leadership seminar
in Israel as representatives of the Sephardic Community
of Greater Detroit are Larry Gormezano, Rabbi Samuel
Betsalel and Rahmat Alyeshmerni. They are among the
group of 20 Sephardic American Jews who will study
Sephardic culture and will examine the problems of Oriental
Jewry in modern Israel.
