Ann Lebster Chapter, Ha-
dassah, sponsored a booth
under the chairmanship of
Annette Schafer, at the re-
cent International "Fiesta"
held in downtown Flint. The
booth featured homemade
goods and the gift table fea-
tured Israeli-made items,
hand - decorated items by
Gladys Shaprow, and ceram-
ic jewelry and bells by Mae
M a izlish.

Flint Lodge members at-
tending the District 6 annual
convention in Chicago were:
incoming president, Sam Win-
ston; Michigan Council Prtsi-
dent, Hy Klein; Iry Simen
and Dr. Bert Marx. Klein at-
tended sessions on interna-
tional affairs, Israel, and
Martyr's Forest. Dr. Marx
attended sessions on resolu-
tions and laws and legisla-
tion. Simen attended sessions
on Hillel and Youth Services
Appeal, and Sam Winston at-
tended sessions for incoming
presidents and programming.
A report on the convention
will be made to the Lodge at
its first meeting in the fall.

ers awarded its "Adah"
award for the best supporting,
actress to Mrs. Sidney Kra-
mer for her performance in
"New Girl in Town."
Bernard Abramson and Dr.
Evelyn Golden were appoint-
ed incorporation directors of
the Genesee County Commis-
sion on Aging. Both Abram-
son and Dr. Golden have
worked with the problems of
the aged. Dr. Golden serves
as the Flint Jewish Commun-
ity Council's advisor to the
Senior Friendship Club.

committee and has served as
a co-chairman of the coun-
cil's hospitality committee.
Dr. Shapiro has served as
cash collection chairman for
the council, and this year
was associate chairman of
