Eight students from Southfield are among 139 Wayne
"tate University students elected to the Gamma Chapter
Phi Beta Kappa, the national honorary scholastic frater-
nity. Liberal arts students must achieve an honor point
average of 3.5 on a 4.0 grade scale to qualify for election
to the select group. Those inducted include: Joan Asarnow,
Michael Binder, Bruce Forman, James Livermore, Andrea
Norman, Jennifer Scott, Howard Shifman, and Stuart Kauf-
man.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Madoff, former Windsor residents
of Miami Beach, were honored recently on the occasion
of their 50th wedding anniversary at a dinner party at the
Holiday Inn, Southfield. The party was given by their
children Dr. and Mrs. Milton Madoff of Westlake Village,
Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Murray Frumin of Southfield.
Among the guests were relatives from Houston, Berkley,
Calif., Chicago and Cincinnati. The senior Madoffs have
