First Canadian
Reform Day
School to Open

)RONTO (JTA) — The
E:st Reform Jewish d a y
school has been established
in Canada and will start op-
erating by next year's school
term.
Rabbi Gunther Plaut of
Holy Blossom Temple in To-
ronto, said the day school will
not be the official project of
the four Liberal congrega-
tions in the city. No financial
aid will be sought from the
synagogues as such.
The school is described by
Rabbi Plaut as "a private en-
terprise run and supported
by Reform Jews, who, while
they are loyal members of
their own synagogues, wish
to bring this new enterprise
to fruition. The school will
look for liaison with the Re-
form temples but it will not
look for any other support."
