Abe Schiller, 69
'Mr. Las Vegas

Abe Schiller, a former De-
troiter who was engaged in
promotion and publicity for
the Dunes Motel in Las Ve-
gas, died Monday at age 69.
Born in Reese, Mich., Mr.
Schiller, who had lived in
Las Vegas for the past 25
years, was known as the "un-
official mayor of Las Vegas"
and traveled around the
world promoting his city. He
also was well known in sports
circles.
Surviving are two brothers,
David and Harold; and two
sisters, Mrs. David (Lillian)
Diamond and Mrs. Milton
(Ruth) Shyer of Bay Harbor
Is., Fla.

Harry Frazer, 73,
Club Entertainer

Harry Frazer, former vau-
deville and nightclub enter-
tainer, died Wednesday at
age 73.
Mr. Frazer, 25350 Green-
field, Oak Park, was born in
Russia and lived 14 years in
Detroit. From 1926 to 1951,
he was a vaudeville and night
club entertainer in Chicago
and sang with the group,
Three Loose Screws. He later
became the owner of the Ter-
minal News Co. in Detroit
and was a member of the
Variety Club and the Amer-
ican Guild of Variety Artists.
He leaves his wife, Ida; two
daughters, Mrs. Jack (Shir-
ley) Belkin and Mrs. William
(Lorraine) Erns t; three
brothers. Joseph Frazen, Mil-
ton (Mickey) Frazer and
Leo Frazin, all of Chicago;
a sister, Mrs. Carl (Adeline)
Solomon of Chicago; and five
grandchildren.

Albert J. Tobin, 84

Albert J. Tobin, former De-
troit contractor and realtor,
died Sunday in Lansing at
age 84. He had made his
home in East Lansing for the
past 21 years.
Mr. Tobin, born. in Brook-
lyn, lived in Detroit for many
years. He was associated
with Alta Realty Co. here. In
Lansing, he was a member
of Cong. Shaarey Zedek and
Bnai Brith.
Surviving are his wife, An-
nabelle; a son, Albert J. Jr.
of Northville; a daughter-in-
law, Mrs. Lois M. Tobin of
Westland; and two grandchil-
dren. Interment Lansing.

Sophia Goodman, former
owner of the Melrose Hotel
in Mount Clemens, died May
19 in her Tel Aviv home. She
had lived with her daughter
Mrs. Ida Enkei in Oak Park
before moving to Israel eight
years ago.
Surviving are her husband,
Nathan; her daughter, Mrs.
Enkel of Tel Aviv; two
grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.

Progress solves one prob-
lem and presents another—
just a new link in the chain
