Diane Hauser, who was born in Detroit, Sept. 13, 1917, was reared in a home that was steeped in Zionist en- deavors. Her parents, the late Israel and Fannie David- son, were pioneer Zionists, and were among the leading, members of the Shaarey Ze- dek congregational family. Mrs. Hauser was educated in the Detroit public schools, the University of Illinois and the University of Michigan.
