Mr. Samburg, 21930 Bev- erly, Oak Park, was born in California, Pa., and lived 53 years in Detroit. He was the founder and owner since 1958 of the Deluxe One-Hour Mar- tinizing Dry Cleaners in Redford Township. He was a member of Cong. Bnai Moshe. He leaves his daughter, Mrs. Irving (Gloria) Chad- wick; a sister, Mrs. Nathan (Mollie) Visotsky; and three grandchildren. Benjamin Wilk, Technion Unit Founder, Past Beth El President National and local leaders this week paid honor to the distinguished career of Ben- jamin Wilk, who died April 26 at age 82. He was past president of Temple Beth El and its men's club, as well as the Detroit Chapter of the American Technion Society. At funeral services at Temple Beth El Sunday, and in messages from heads of the Technion Society, in which Mr. Wilk was active for nearly 50 years, his activities in Detroit Jewish and civic affairs and in be- BENJAMIN WILK half of Israel's technical in- stitute received recognition. A founding member of the American Technion Society, he was a member of the national board of governors and was honored with the establishment of scholarships in his name. Founder in 1926 and presi- dent of the Standard Build- ing Products Co., Mr. Wilk was a member of the syndi- cate which built the Rock Products plant in Israel and was a frequent visitor there. He was president of the Na- tional Concrete Masonry As- sociation and the Concrete Association of Michigan. He was a past chairman of the religious school com- mittee of Temple Beth El, active in the Allied Jewish Campaign and a member of the American Jewish Com- mittee. A native of Minneapolis, Mr. Wilk lived in Detroit 50 years. An engineering grad- uate of the University of Minnesota, he lived at 20125 Canterbury. Surviving are his wife, Bess; two daughters, Mrs. William (Marcia) Harris and Mrs. Marshall (Joan) Cher- ner of Franklin Lakes, N. J.; a brother, Ted of Los An- geles; two sisters, Ethel of Beverly Hills, Calif., and Mrs. Edward G. (Josephine) Dobrin of Bellevue, Wash.; and six grandchildren.
