Anna Zamsky, 83;
Zedakah Leader

Anna Zamsky, a former
Detroiter who . helped or-
ganize the Jewish Baby Day
Nursery here in the 1920s,
died Monday in Cleveland,
where she made her home
for the past 37 years. She
was 83.
Mrs. Zamsky, a native of
Baltimore, was a charter
member and former presi-
dent of Zedakah Club in De-
troit, which assists the needy
aged and services mental
hospitals.
In Cleveland, she was ac-
tive in Hadassah and the
Jewish War Veterans Aux-
iliary.
She leaves a son, Willard
of Detroit; a daughter, Mrs.
Mort (Hilaine) Weissman of
University Heights, 0. ; a
brother, George Weinberg;
two Asters, Mrs. Nate
(EL ____,I Rubin and Mrs. Ar-
thur (Babe) Harris, both of
Detroit; three grandchildren
and one great-grandchild. In-
terment Cleveland.
