acquaint Jewish students with
the issue and problems of
Jewish poverty.
The student volunteers pro-
vide a wide range of help
with everyday chores, JACY
officials said. These include
shopping, writing letters and
applying for social service
benefits.
The volunteers frequently
escort eldery Jews who are
afraid to venture out into the
crime-infested streets of what
was once a flourishing Jew-
ish center. In many cases, the
volunteers keep company
with the lonely elderly Jews.

guerrilla movement was inef-
ficent and blamed this on the
lack of support from Arab
governments. "The (Palestin-
ian) resistance is nonexist-
ent," he said, "and it was the
Arabs who finished it off with
the cooperation of the Zionist
enemy."
He did not name any Arab
governments, but said that
some Arab governments did
not permit volunteers sent by
Libya to cross their borders
to fight Israel.
Qaddafi also said his gov-
ernment would aid "revolu-
tionaries" in Africa, North
and South America, the Phil-
lippines and Northern Ire-
land, but did not elaborate.

According to one source,
the seizure of the documents

Day.
It was learned that an tm-
disclosed number of Israeli
Arabs living in northern Is-
rael were also detained as a
result of information gleaned
from the captured docu-
ments.

The Israeli players were
told by Yugoslavian authori-

they were about to board a

They said the Yugoslavians
advised them strongly to

The Yugoslavians were ap-
parently worried over terror-

in which three top El Fatah

Zeev Braverman, the cap-

they were told by their hosts

QE-2 Sails on Passover Cruise
to Israel: 'Safe as Fort Knox'
LONDON (JTA) — The
Queen Elazabeth 2 sailed
from Southhampton Sunday
on her Passover cruise to Is-
rael with 560 passengers
aboard and, according to Cu-
nard Line officials, "was as
safe as Fort Knox."
Extraordinary security
measures were taken to
guard the giant liner against
possible terrorist attacks dur-
ing her voyage.
Twenty armed Royal Ma-
rines augmented Cunard's se-
curity personnel during the
embarkation and Royal Navy
frogmen inspected her under-
water hull for bombs prior to
sailing.

State Department spokes-
man Charles Bray said the

representations to other gov-

broadcasts.
Bray said the VOP radio
called on "Arab masses to
strike everywhere at U. S.
interests and embassies and
kill and assassinate everyone
who is American."
He said "We obviously
must take a most serious
view of broadcasts of this
kind which he called "irre-
