Arthur J. Rubiner, presi-
dent of the Jewish Vocational
Service and Community
Workshop of Detroit, and a
Southfield attorney, has been
named to the budget commit-
tee of the United Way of
Michigan (UWM).
William C. Crick of Flint,
committee chairman, said
that Rubiner would be as-
signed to a panel at UWM's
annual budget conference to
be held April 17-18 at the
Kellogg Center, Michigan
State University, Lansing.
Each panel will review the
budget presentations of two
or more UWM member
agencies and then make
recommendations for the
funding of the agencies dur-
ing 1974.
UWM has 26 health and
social service agencies as
members.
Funds for UWM come from
150 local United Way cam-
paigns conducted throughout
Michigan. The United Foun-
dation is providing $3,226,732
for UWM's member services
during 1973.
Rubiner is a member of
the family service budget
committee of United Com-
munity Services.
