TEL AVIV (JTA) — Two fatherless families of Black Jews left Israel under an expulsion order from the in- terior ministry which the families had, in effect, re- quested. The order provided the only legal means the government had to provide the families —women and children—with airline tickets to the U.S. The husbands left Israel last year and their families who stayed behind at Dimona in the Negev suffered hard- ships and asked Israeli au- thorities to help them get home. Police said that the re- maining Black Jews would probably leave the country shortly. The group, which origin- ated in Chicago and once numbered over 100, came to Israel during the past two years with the stated inten- tion of settling permanently. Though they claimed to be Jews, the interior ministry denied them immigrant stat- us. The families were settled, mainly in Dimona, but came into conflict with local set- tlers and among themselves. 2nd Home in Israel for Americans Advised by Isralom Builders NEW YORK — According to Eli Wagner, manager of the U.S. and Canada branch of Isralom, an international agency established to serve foreign buyers in the Israel building market, more than 2,000 new apartments in all parts of Israel will be sold to overseas buyers during Is- rael's silver anniversary in 1973.
