Seminar Updates JCC Executive
Members of the Jewish
Community Council execu-
tive committee met Sunday
in an all-day seminar at the
Butzel Conference Center —
Camp Tamarack.
Initiated last year by Coun-
cil President Hubert J. Sid-
low, the seminars are meant
to provide members with an
opportunity to review Coun-
cil activity, to review their
own performance as execu-
tive committee members and
to consider ideas about long-
range goals. This year's sem-
inar co-chairmen were Lewis
Grossman and John Shep-
herd.
Discussion centered on
presentations by a panel of
five executive committee
members on the role and
responsibilities of Council
within the community. Panel-
ists were Rabbi Hayim Don-
in, Grossman, Matilda Ruhin,
Edwin Shifrin and Irving
Tukel.
Members then participated
in a general discussion of
current problem areas and
ways in which Council can
improve its services and
communication links with
constituent organizations.

committee, including several
