THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS

The problems of poverty, education,
youth, and the aged are very real to us
when we see them in our own communi-
ties. We must answer this call for help.
But for us there can be no
geographical boundaries
when it comes to a fellow
Jew in need. We must also
respond to the call of the
new immigrants to Israel
. . . those courageous, de-
termined Jews who are re-
moved from us only by
distance.

70,000 immigrants will

come to Israel this year. Many have given
up everything for the opportunity to live
as Jews among their brethren. Their needs
for housing, education, health care and
job retraining are our re-
sponsibility. A responsi-
bility we accept proudly.
A tribute to the heritage
we, as Jews, claim as our
own.

Once For Your
Community

We keep the . promise
when we help build Jew-
ish lives here at home .. .
and in Israel . . . wherever
a Jew is in need.
