University of Michigan will
present the 1972-1973 Zwerd-
ling Lectures by Dr. Nahum
N. Glatzer 4:10 p.m. Wednes-
day in the Physics-Astro-
nomy building.
Dr. Glatzer, Samuel Lane
Professor of Jewish History
and Social Ethics in the de-
partment of Near Eastern
and Judaic studies at Bran-
deis University, will speak
on "The Book of Job and the
Problem of Man's Position
in the Universe."
The second lecture, to be
held 4:10 p.m. Thursday in
the Physics-astronomy build-
ing, will be on "The Prophet
Jeremiah and the Religion
of the Spirit."
The Bnai Brith Hillel Foun-
dation and Cong. Beth Israel
will present Dr. Glatzer
speaking on "Franz Rosen-
weig: Beyond Orthodoxy and
Liberalism," 8:15 p.m. Wed-
nesday at Hillel House.
Dr. Glatzer was named by
Bnai Brith as the 1973 winner
of its annual Jewish Heritage
Award. The $1,000 literary
prize is presented each year
to a writer for "excellence
in Jewish literature." He
was cited for his interpretive
books and articles dealing
