NCJW Asks Removal of Name From Foes of Rights Amendment NEW YORK—The National Council of Jewish Women, reaffirming its support of the Equal Rights Amendment, called upon those opposed to its ratification to discontinue using the name of the NCJW on the list of anti-ERA organ- izations. NCJW' President Mrs. Ele- anor Marvin said that while the NCJW expressed concern originally that "under the amendment, as proposed in 1969, the loss of specific pro- tective legislation for women might overshadow the bene- fits to be gained, in 1971 at its biennial convention the delegates gave the national leadership the option to en- dorse such a Constitutional amendment." The NCJW position in sup- port of the Equal Rights Amendment was announced. in the fall of 1971.
