Recently, our school was
presented with American
flags for our audition and for
each of our classrooms by
Commander Simenson of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars
and Mrs. Olmedian, a rep-
resentative of the women's
auxiliary.
Rabbi Chaim Rozwaski ac-
cepted the large flag on be-
half of the school, and two
of our students, Jerry Glen
of the 4th grade and Reva
Samet of the junior high, ac-
cepted on behalf of the
pupils.
Beth Zeman, a seventh
grade student, sang "Give
Me Your Tired, Your Poor."
This was followed by the en-
tire student body singing
under the direction of Mrs.
Goldie Eakin.
Our student council has
now started a school news-
paper. It is called the Blue
Star. The newspaper contains
notices of school events and
choice writing from the stu-
dents.
