Role of Women in Jewish
Life is being sponsored by
the North American Jewish
Students' Network this week-
end at the Hotel McAlpin.

Metropolitan Detroit Chap-
ter, Hadassah, will hold a
sherry hour 2-5 p.m. Sunday
to celebrate the grand open-
ing of the Hadassah Thrift
Shop, 825 W. Nine Mile, Fern-
dale.
The shop will officially
open for business Monday.
Hours will be Monday
through Friday, 10 a.m.-4:30
p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m.-
4 p.m.
Mrs. Ray Raphael and her
associate chairmen M e s -
dames Herbert Allen, Rich-
ard Bleznak and Louis Si-
man started the shop to raise
funds for Hadassah's many
important projects in Israel.
Mrs. Raphael said that top-
quality clothing, furniture
and household articles are re-
quested f r o m Hadassah's
members, to be sold to the
public. This will be merchan-
ductible and funds are used
for Hadassah projects in Is-
rael.
Contributions are tax de-
ductible and Hadassah pro-
jects in Israel.
Contributions to stock the
store are now being accepted.
There will be help to carry
goods from cars, and a truck
pickup service for furniture
and other large items.
