New Israel Film
to Be Shown by
Technion Chapter

The community is invited
by Detroit Chapter of Ameri-
can Society for Technion to
the Detroit premiere showing
of a new Israeli film, "Out
of the Wilderness," 8:15 p.m.
Wednesday at Stouffer's
Northland Inn.
The 30-minute film, com-
mercially produced under
the auspices of the chairman
of the international board of
governors of the Technion,
Evelyn de Rothschild, focuses
on the role the Technion,
Israel Institute of Tech-
nology, is playing in the de-
velopment of Israel.
Julius J. Harwood, Tech-
nion president, announced
that a special report will be
presented by Dr. Arthur
Shavit, associate professor of
the department of mechani-
cal engineering at the Tech-
nion. The Detroit chapter
recently completely the cam-
paign to provide funds for
the mechanical engineering
buildings and has under way
a campaign to equip these
buildings.
David D. Kahn, vice presi-
dent of the Detroit chapter,
will be chairman of the pro-
gram. Refreshments will be
served.

Three Stratford Plays

STRATFORD.Ont.—
Three plays by Shakespeare
and a comedy by Oliver
Goldsmith will share the
spotlight at Stratford's Fes-
tival Theater this summer.
The 1973 season at the Fes-
tival Theater will open June
4 with Shakespeare's "The
Taming of The Shrew."
Goldsmith's "She Stoops to
Conover," the 18th Century
English comedy that proved
one of the most popular of-
ferings at the Festival Thea-
tre last summer, will open
on June 5.
David William, who staged
"King Lear" at Stratford in
1972 and for the European
Tour, returns to direct
"Othello," which opens June
6.
