Trepper Disappears
From Warsaw Home

COPENHAGEN (JTA) —
Leopold Trepper, the former
Soviet master spy, has dis-
appeared from the Warsaw
apartment, his son Michael
Brodje told the JTA.

Brodje has been unable to
reach his father by phone for
the past several clays and has
no knowledge of his where-
abouts. He said he had al-
ways been able to reach him
by phone in the past.
According to Brodje, his
father, who has been ill, may
have been taken to a Warsaw
hospital against his will.

The former head of the
"Red Orchestra," the World

War It espionage network in
Western Europe, has been
repeatedly denied an exit
visa by Polish authorities in
order to go to Israel. His
wife, Luba, is currently in

Belgium campaigning on her

husband's behalf.

"Needless to say, these pro-
grams are critical to the sur-
vival and creative develop-
ment of this community. We
have an obligation to our
brothers there and ourselves
and our children here. Many
of these programs in Flint
are threatened by inadequate
funding, but now that we
have begun to see the fruits
of our labors, I am confident
that more and more of our
people will make new effort
to see that we reach our
goals" stated Dr. Shapiro.

in earlier literature.
Having identified such late

elements, Dr. Horvitz limited
himself further by requiring
that an accumulation of

these forms appear in a
psalm before he was willing
to accept it as a post-exilic

composition. The eight psalms
which have so far met his
conditions all appear in the
final third of the Book of
Psalms, which he feels sug-
gests some clue to the way
the book developed.
Dr. Hurvitz believes that
the objective dating of eight
psalms through his method
may prove to be an impor-
tant step toward establishing
the date of other psalms,
toward dating other biblical
texts, and also toward estab-
lishing the chronology of
such other texts as the Dead
Sea Scrolls.
