DON'T MAKE A COSTLY MISTAKE CALL US LAST

He suggested that the civil
rights gains of the 1960s re-
sulted from disciplined, non-
violent action, and that fu-
ture progress could be
achieved only by massive
non-violence. "'The system
works for those people who
work at it," he declared.
The new Congressman,
who was a leader with Dr.
King of the Southern Chris-
tian Leadership Conference
and who played a leading
role in the civil rights
struggles with him, paid
tribute to the Jewish com-
munity for its help in the
fight for equal rights for
B l a c k s. "Throughout the
60's, a large percentage of
the whites who came into
the South to work with us
were Jewish," he pointed
out.
Turning to the contrast
between North and South
in racial attitudes, Dr. Young
suggested that progress in
the South against discrim-
ination had been marked by
a recognition by whites of
their racist attitudes. In the
North, he said, with dis-
crimination having never
been quite as blatant, a

AMSTERDAM (JTA) — A
West German documentary
film on the "Red Orchestra,"
the World War II Soviet
espionage network in West-
ern Europe that was headed
by Leopold Trepper, was
sharply criticized by Trep-
per's wife.
Mrs. Luba Trepper, visit-
ing Holland on behalf of the
Dutch Trepper Defense Com-
mittee, called the film,
shown on local television,
"calumnious."
She said it portrayed the
Germans "too favorably"
and was "proof that neo-
Nazism is again tolerated in
West Germany."
Trepper, living in Warsaw,

In the current issue of the
Dutch weekly Haagse Post,
Trepper criticized the Ger-
