Iraq which has dwindled to

Rep. Koch Protests
to World Rank on Iran
WASHINGTON (JTA) —
Rep. Edward I. Koch (D.
NY) has asked the World
Bank to cease financial aid
to the government of Iraq un-
til Iraqi Jews who wish to
emigrate are allowed to do
so and those remaining are .
free from discrimination.
In a letter to the Bank's
president Robert McNamara,
Koch protested the recent ab-
duction. imprisonment, and
harassment of Iraqi Jews.
"There are many middle-aged
and elderly people who have
lost their jobs, their business-
es have been boycotted, their
assets frozen and their re-
ligious observances viewed
as acts of sedition," Koch
stated.
