Paul Borman Gets '73 Seminary Award Seminary VIP

Paul Borman, Detroit food
executive, has been desig-
nated by the Jewish Theologi-
cal Seminary of America to
receive its 1973 National
Community Service Award.
The presentation will be
made Feb. 28, at a dinner at
the Diplomat Hotel, Holly-
wood, Fla.
The dinner will be pre-
ceded by an academic pro-
cession of representatives of
c o 1 l e g e s and universities
from across the country, be-
ginning at 3 p.m., the same
day, in Miami Beach's Tem-
ple Emanu-El,

graduation from Michigan
State University, where he
majored in food distribution,
he spent two years in the
army, then served the com-
pany in various capacities
prior to becoming president
in 1965.
Active in many communal
endeavors, Borman is on the
board of trustees of Shaarey
Zedek. He is a member of
the board of directors of Boy
Scouts of America and the
United Foundation. In July
of 1967 he was named on the
New Detroit Committee, and
serves its subcommittee on
youth, recreation and cul-
tural affairs. His other pan--
