Successful ski trips con-
tinue to be enjoyed by en-
thusiastic Hillel students.
Fourth through ninth grade
students ski down the slopes
of Alpine Valley ski lodge
every week — weather per-
mitting. Hillel parents and
occasionally teachers accom-
pany the students. Skiers are
able to rent the necessary
equipment and lessons are
available for beginners.
The end of January proved
tc be busy for Hillel stu-
dents. On Jan. 23, we visited
the Americana 'Theater for
a special showing of the
motion picture "1776."
During the same week the
junior high students went to
the Cranbrook Institute of
Science for a guided tour of
the museum.
A trip to see "Disney on
Parade" is being planned for
the near future.

youth service and luncheon

which everyone will join
them for luncheon in the

Butler will speak on
"Changing the Values and
Directions of the American
Community," 8 p.m. today at
the home of adviser Dennis

Sabbath morning wil begin
at 9 a.m. Butler will be guest
speaker.
A luncheon sponsored by
the NCSY parents, study ses-
sions, dramatic presentations
and discussions will continue
throughout the day. Butler
will conclude the program
with a Havdala service.

sion, to be staged by Evelyn
Orbach for Center Theater
Feb. 10, 11, 14, 15 and 17 at
the Jewish Center.
Klapthor has designed and
lit "The Little Foxes" and
"Come Blow Your Horn" for
Center Theater. He has act-
ed, designed and directed for
many community, educa-
tional and stock companies.
"Awake and Sing" is pro-
duced by Jules Abrams and
Joan St. John. Abrams, a
past president of Center
Theater, has been seen here
in "The Odd Couple," "J.
B.." "Light Up the Sky,"
"Summer and Smoke" and
