Mrs. Gerard R. Slattery, the other recipient of this honor, is chairman of the board of Children's Hospital of Michigan. For 16 years she was its president. Mrs. Slattery spearheaded the fund-raising program for $28,000,000 to make the new hospital possible. She repre- sents Children's as vice pres- ident of the Detroit Medical Center Corporation.
