Rogers Asked to Investigate
Anti-Israel Yule Mailing

Anti-Defamation League of
Bnai Brith asked Secretary
of State William P. Rogers
to investigate whether an
anti-Israel Christmas mailing
to Americans by the Jor-

United States is in violation
of the Foreign Agents Regis-

rector, said that the mailing

salem in Captivity: A Per-
sonal Message from King
Hussein," and an accom-
panying letter .— gives "a
wholly distorted picture of
the conditions of Jerusalem
under Israeli rule." He en-
closed copies of the letter
and recording.

to tens of thousands of
American businessmen, re-

ligious leaders, college pro-
fessors and government of-
ficials in all sections of the
country from the Jordanian
Embassy in Washington,
D.C., by Zuhayr Mufti, am-
bassaidor of Jordan to the
Uniftill States.

Epstein told Rogers that
the ADL was disturbed by
this misuse of the Christmas
season to dispense anti-Is-
rael propaganda which has
the effect of dividing Amer.
