come back from an exhibi-
tion which depicts the de-
, velopment of the BBC over
the last 50 years. The British
Broadcasting Corp. was
founded in 1922 and is now
celebrating its golden jubilee.

Plans for May 7 Parade

This year's Independence
Day parade on May 7 in
Jerusalem will
include the

suddenly closed down its He-
s- brew service, which had been
in existence since the Jewish
state had come into being.
The reason given was the
need to save money. No one
believed a word of it. And
soon the chairman, Lord Hill
of Luton, was telling people
that he had been against it,
and that the BBC was spend-
ing more money on paper
clips than on the whole He-
brew Service.
