The women's federation of
the Flint Jewish Community
Council invited newcomers
to a luncheon last week at
the home of Mrs. William
Shapiro.
The chairman of the fed-
eration, Mrs. Arnold Schaf-
fer, 'welcomed the newcom-
ers, and Mrs. Peter Kronick
and Mrs. Michael Pelavin
listed the activities of the
council and Jewish organiza-
tions in Flint.
The Newcomers Luncheon
heard a plea for baby-sitting
services voiced by the young
women of the community. If
qualified babysitters can be
found, the women can more
readily attend afternoon
meetings and other functions,
they said.
Anyone interested in baby-
sitting is asked to call the
Council office, 767-5922, and
' her name will be placed on a
33 list to be given to interested
mothers.
