Lea Rubel Dead at 75; Dream
Realized for Federation Apts.

Lea Rubel, an active mem-
ber of the community's sen-
ior adult organizations, who
frequently was credited with
stimulating the effort for
senior citizen housing, died
Tuesday at age 75.
She was a resident of Fed-
eration Apartments since its
opening in summer 1971-an
achievement she had worked
toward for many years. In a

paign, whose funds were
!partly responsible for the
apartment building.

Mrs. Ru bet also was a
member of Club Two. Pio-
neer Women, and worked for
the Jewish National Fund
campaigns. Until her hus-
band Charles' death in 1965,
she assisted in his upholstery
business .

Not long ago, she attended
the Bar Mitzva of her first
grandson in Israel. She leaves
a daughter, Mrs. Stephen
(Isolde) Medow; and two
grandchildren.
