Rabbi Wohl was born in Odessa and came to the U.S. as a young man. He was educated at the University of Cincinnati and was or- dained by Hebrew Union College. In 1927 Rabbi Wohl became rabbi of the Reading Road Temple here and continued in that pulpit after its mer- ger with the Rabbi Issac M. Wise Temple until his retire- ment five years ago.
