As a result of the mayor's
biased statement, several
hospital staff members, In-
its report of an anti-Semitic cluding Dr. Joel I. Hamburg-
statement attributed to High- t n 'r a.h o ave tendered their resig-
land Park Mayor Robert B. nation.

The Highland Parker, in a
front-page editorial, defended

Cantor Louis Klein (left)
of Cong. Bnal Moshe and
Max Sosin, humorist, will
present an evening of music
and entertainment 8 p.m.
Thursday at the Zionist Cul-
tural Center. The ZOD will

clusion of the Balfour Con-
cert. President Dr. Jack

cert chairman Walter Nuss-
baum invite friends. Dr.

chairman.

Blackwell.
Blackwell was quoted both
in the paper and on televi-
sion as saying "Our hospital
(Highland Park General) is
basically a black hospital,
and our Jewish friends and
white doctors are skimming
the cream off the top and
aren't solving our problem."
The municipal hospital has
been in serious financial dif-
ficulties.
In a meeting with staff doc-
tors Mayor Blackwell denied
having made the statement,
saying that he was quoted
out of context.
The Highland Parker edi-
torial said the mayor's state-
ment before the city council
was accurately reported and
the paper stands by the quote
as written.

men interested in keeping up
with the newest trends. Jo-
anne Balogna provides the
female diversion — though
she's a trained barber, as
well. Sir Albert's is open till

Jack (Crazy Jack) Frank-
ford, president of MICHI-
GAN MOBILE RADIO, an-
nounced the opening of the
firm's fourth location at 3715
N. Woodward. Royal Oak.

Frankford said that Michi-
gan
Mobile Radio will be

called Crazy Jack's Sound
Factory. The name and
image change, according to
Frankford, more adequately
reflect the total sound mar-
, ket served by the operation.
Each location includes
a
separate, fully acoustacized

"Quail" demonstration room
to demonstrate quadrophonic
four channel sound. An ex•
tensive remo(Icling program
of both interior and exterior
designs now highlight
the

new factory motif, including

a pair of giant nut and bolt
combinations
displayed at

each location.
