Mrs. Silver, the former
Judy Heyman, is the daugh-
ter of Mrs. Samuel N. Hey-
man, who now makes her
home in San Francisco. Her
father was one of Michigan's
leading engineers. He was
associated with the Fisher
Body Co. A native of Jeru-
salem, the late Mr. Heyman
was one of Detroit's best
known Zionists, a co-founder
of the Young Judaea move-
ment, active in Jewish Na-
tional Fund and the Zionist
Organization and a founder
of the Zionist Engineering
Society.

His widow, a former
president of the Ladies' Aux-
iliary of the Jewish National
Fund, is now among the
leading Hadassah and JNF
workers in San Francisco.
Judy Heyman Silver is
married to Sol Silver, an
award-winning architect who
now teaches architecture in
university classes.
A Sausalito resident for
17 years, Mrs. Silver studied
in Detroit public schools and
earned her BA d e g re e
from Wayne State Univer-
sity. She had advanced train-
ing at U. C. and Dominican
College in reading techniques
and holds a California ele-
mentary teaching credential.
She was a public school
teacher and had an assign-
ment in teacher supervision
and special education.

Dr. Kupinski, professor of
sociology at Wayne State

lectured for a year at Bar-
Ilan University.
Dr. Kupinksi will discuss
sex, marriage, birth control
and Jewish fertility from a
traditional viewpoint.
