Ninety-one AZA and Bnai
Brith Girls members who at-
tended the recent 1111Y0 Fall
Leadership Camp at Tama-
rack in Ortonville, got a
many - faceted look at what
leadership in BBYO means.
Campers were divided into
four "chapters" to encourage
wider participation and
closer rapport. The program
included Friday evening
services followed by a Sab-
bath Bowl competition on
Judaism and BBYO; a sun-
rise service on the beach;
and two discussions of con-
temporary Jewish issues.
The first, on "Judaism and
Peace and War." was led by
Elliott Ross, AZA program
director, and - the second.
"Judaism and the Abortion
Issue," was led by Linda
Scheinker, BAG program di-
rector. Israeli dancing, mem-
bership workshops, leader-
ship camps and role play
and a Saturday night social
also were held.
' A highlight of the weekend
was a
BBYO community
' service project in which
' campers spent part of Satur-
' day afternoon making up
candy favors, distributed
to patients at Detroit Chil-
dren's Hospital in time for
Halloween.
Another highlight of the
weekend was a membership
skit, "Morris in BBYO
Land," written by ,Micnael
Neem an of Braneis AZA
and presented on Saturday
evening.
