The Council of Orthodox
Rabbis of Detroit (Vaad
Harabonim) announces Lah-
ser Hills Nursing Center,
25300 Lahser, Southfield, is
the first private home under
council supervision. It con-
tains two separate kitchens.
The council noted that rab-
bis have received many pleas
from families faced with the
problem of placing an ob-
servant, aged person in a
home. Those placed in non-
kosher nursing homes often
suffered anguish, and their
health suffered as well.
This home will fill an un-
met need, the council stated.
