Dr. Arthur Kornberg, head
of the department of bio-
chemistry at Stanford Uni-
versity School of Medicine,
1959 Nobel Laureate in Med-
icine and Physiology, will be
the guest speaker at the an-
nual Weizmann dinner, to be
held Nov. 20 at the Waldorf-
Astoria Hotel in New York.
Marking the 28th anniver-
sary of the founding of the
Weizmann Institute of
Science, the national event
is expected to attract a dis-
tinguished audience from
many parts of the country.
Proceeds of the dinner, at
5500 per person, will be used
to advance Institute re-
search.. Guest of honor at
the dinner will be Arthur G.
Cohen, chairman of the board
of Arlen Realty and Develop-
ment Corp., in tribute to his
services to the American

science education and to the

the deaf-blind, has accepted
a position at the Penrickton
Center for Blind Children.
Miss Knapp received her BA
from Michigan State Univer-
sity, where she majored in
special education for the vis-
ually handicapped. She re-
cently participated in an in-
ternship program, working
in the deaf-blind department,
at the Michigan School for
the Blind.

Jewish Congregations of

pointment of RABBI BEREL
WEIN as rabbinic kashrut
administrator. Rabbi Wein,

sponsible for directing the

Established in Quebec

MONTREAL (JTA) — Mi-
chel Chartrand, the outspok-
enly anti-Zionist president of
the 65,000-member Montreal
branch of the National United
Syndicate, Quebec's biggest
trade union, has formed a
pro - Palestinian association
here.
Called Quebec-Palestine,
the new association is plan-
ning demonstrations to pro-
test the expulsion of Pales-
tinians from West Germany
and what it called an anti-
Arab fury in West Germany
since the Munch killings of
Israeli athletes.
Chartrand returned in Au-
gust from visits to Syria,
Iraq and Lebanon.
A vocal separatist, he
served four months in jail
last year when he called
openly for armed insurrec-
tion.

New Jersey will host the an-
nual dinner of the Zionist
Organist of America Nov. 12
at which ANN and ADOLF
C. ROBISON of Teaneck
each will be presented the
