Bar-Ilan University Annual
series, dedicated to the mem-
ory of Haim Moshe Shapiro,
who at his death was Min-
ister of the Interior and
chairman of the university's
executive council, has been
presented to his family.

copies of the volume were
handed to the late Minister's
widow, Mrs Liza Shapiro,
his son Yehuda, and his
daughter and son-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Arthur Cohen. Mr.
Cohen is a well-known film
producer. One of his films

City Planners Back
Queens Compromise

NEW YORK — The City
Planning Commission voted
4-2 to accept the Forest Hills
public housing compromise
that would cut the number of
units by half.
Fate of the controversial
Queens project is now up to
the Board of Estimate which
can either accept the com-
promise or allow construction
to continue on three 24-story
low-income apartment tow-
ers, The board is to meet
later this month.
