Tour Officials Differ
on Effects of Terror

NEW YORK (ZINS)—Offi-
cials of Israel's tourist de-
partment in the U.S. are con-
cerned about the climate of
fear which has been created
by Arab terror, according to
a local correspondent of the
Hebrew daily Haaretz.
The report says authorities
foresee a steep decline in the
number of tourist bookings
for November and the bal-
ance of the winter season.
This is notwithstanding a
September tourist record
which was 8 per cent better
than the same month last
Year.
The Israel Tourist Min-
istry in Jerusalem does not
share the pessimism ex-
pressed by U.S. representa-
tives.
